students (capacity: 513). Middle school age students would attend Fort Middle

School, which has 480 students (capacity: 600). High school age students would

attend Hardaway, which has 1,401 students (capacity: 1,200).

Attitude of Property Owners
Forty-three (43) property owners within 300 feet were notified of the rezoning

request. The Planning Department received several comments opposing the

rezoning request.
Additional Information
The property in question was rezoned in 1984 to accommodate the Harmony Club,

which moved to this site from the site now known as Harmony Place shopping

center on Airport Thruway. The use of the property was restricted to a private

club. That condition had a life of ten (10) years; it ended on November 14,

1994.



The PAC approved this case by a vote of 4 to 2.
