- Additional Information
- The applicant is seeking to rezone the property to NC to then get a special
exception granted to build the new cell tower structure for AT&T. A separate
special exception request has been submitted (EXCP-10-13-3159).
The Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) indicates under Table 3.2.10 - Section
4.2.72 that new cell towers are not allowed in a single family residential
zoning classification. New towers are allowed with a special exception in a
neighborhood commercial zoning district.
AT&T proposes to build a 150' monopole that will be constructed to hold a
minimum of four (4) wireless carriers. The subject property is approximately
forty-two (42) acres and is currently undeveloped. AT&T is leasing a 100 x l00
footprint from Brookstone School for the construction of the wireless facility.
It is the intent to leave as much of the natural vegetation as possible on the
property and around the facility. They will be planting 8' evergreens around
the compound where the natural vegetation has to be removed. The proposed
facility meets all required setbacks from any residential structure. They will
be entering the Facility from an existing drive along River Road.
