Eighteen (18) property owners within 300 feet of the subject properties were

notified of the rezoning request. The Planning Department has received seven

(8) calls in support of the case. They all have great comments about the store,

the service, etc. Another two call were inquiring about the proposed uses and

the possible impact.
Additional Information
The purpose of this rezoning request is to allow for pet day care and boarding

at this location. According the Table 3.1.1. of the UDO, grooming (personal

services) is allowed in NC and GC as well as a barber shop (which is next

door). Boarding and pet day care is not allowed under the existing zoning

classification; therefore, rezoning is needed to include those uses.
