A Resolution Authorizing TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR THE PORTION OF LYNCH ROAD STREET SEGMENT AND \n \n RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF MANCHESTER EXPRESSWAY NORTH TO \n \n THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF 7716 LYNCH ROAD A/K/A TAX MAP 127 001 105, TO THE \n \n ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNER(S) IN COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA. whereas, Lynch Road was segmented by the construction of the Manchester Expressway in \n \n the early 1960's.; and,
whereas, the City of Columbus, Georgia no longer needed for roadway purposes; and, \n \n WHEREAS, a reversionary clause will be included to return said property back to \n \n the City should there be a need again for future roadway/interchange \n \n improvements; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Consolidated Government of Columbus, \n \n Georgia to execute a Quit Claim Deed for the segment and right-of-way of Lynch \n \n Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to declare the segment and \n \n right-of-way of Lynch Road from the north right-of-way line of Manchester \n \n expressway north to the north property line of 7716 Lynch Road a/k/a Tax Map \n \n 127 001 105 as surplus and execute a Quit Claim Deed to the adjacent owner(s). \n \n The transfer will be subject to reservation of all existing utility easements \n \n of record, known and unknown, with a Reversionary Clause included to return \n \n said property back to the City should the City need it again for future \n \n roadway/interchange improvements and copy of the Quit Claim Deed filed with the \n \n Clerk of Superior Court.
