A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE GEORGIA \n \n DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE PURPOSES OF ADJUSTING THE BUDGET FOR \n \n ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE SPIDERWEB NETWORK PROJECT whereas, the citizens of Columbus approved the redevelopment and redesign of the Buena \n \n Vista Road Spiderweb area under the 2012 Transportation Investment Act (TIA), \n \n which established funding for engineering design and construction; and,
whereas, to facilitate this project, an adjustment to increase the existing budget for \n \n professional engineering services in the amount of $2,000,000 is necessary; \n \n and,
WHEREAS, the funding for this activity is available under the budget for Right \n \n of Way activities without requiring an increase to the established budget of \n \n $40,000,000 for the overall project;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a supplemental \n \n agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation for the Spiderweb \n \n Network Project, for the purposes of adjusting the engineering budget by the \n \n amount of $2,000,000, for a total of $4,484,684. Said amount shall come from \n \n the existing project budget for Right of Way acquistion, and reduce the budget \n \n amount for this activity to $6,518,918. The total amount for this project \n \n shall not change the approved amount of $40,000,000 as established.
