A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR THE PORTION OF SOUTHERN \n \n STREET BETWEEN COMER AVENUE AND 11TH AVENUE, TO THE ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNER(S) \n \n IN COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA. whereas, the adjacent property owner(s) have assemble property to allow the expansion of \n \n their project; and,
whereas, the City of Columbus, Georgia has no future use or plans for Southern Street; \n \n and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Consolidated Government of Columbus, \n \n Georgia to execute a Quit Claim Deed for the portion of Southern Street between \n \n Comer Avenue and 11th Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to declare the portion of Southern \n \n Street between Comer Street and 11th Avenue surplus and execute a Quit Claim \n \n Deed to the adjacent owner(s). The transfer will be subject to reservation of \n \n all existing utility easements of record, known and unknown, with a copy of \n \n Quit Claim Deed filed with the Clerk of Superior court for permanent record.
