A Resolution Authorizing THE ADOPTION OF THE BAKER VILLAGE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN. whereas, Baker Village is a housing community of 590 units, operated by the Housing \n \n Authority of Columbus, Georgia; and,
whereas, these units were constructed in 1941 and have not been substantially upgraded \n \n since that time; and, \n \n WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of Columbus, Georgia has developed a \n \n redevelopment plan for Baker Village to revitalize this important part of our \n \n city, by developing the area into a new mixed-income community.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the Baker Village Redevelopment Plan dated January 5, 2006 and as \n \n presented by the Housing Authority of Columbus, Georgia, is hereby recognized \n \n as the official redevelopment plan for the Baker Village area.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the _________ day of _____________ 2007 and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of  _____________ members of said Council.
