A Resolution Authorizing THAT THE CITY MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR A \n \n PORTION OF PARCEL 9 TOTALING 0.474 ACRES+/- TO THE STATE OF GEORGIA FOR THE \n \n EASTERN CONNECTOR CONNECTOR PROJECT FROM BUENA VISTA ROAD PROJECT \n \n STPOO-8042-00(006), PI#35O850. whereas, the City is responsible for the acquisition of said project and has purchased \n \n needed property (Parcel 9, under a Revocable License Agreement from the State; \n \n and,
whereas, to be able to certify Right of Way the State of Georgia issued the above \n \n referred Agreement, allowing the City of Columbus, Georgia to meet the Right of \n \n Way Certification date for said project as reference Resolution # 61-13 dated \n \n February 26 2013; and.
WHEREAS, the action taken was done to be able to meet the 2013 Legislation \n \n Session to approve the above referenced Agreement. No property could be \n \n transferred without the Legislation approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Quit Claim Deed for a \n \n portion of parcel 9 totaling 0.474 acres+/- to the State of Georgia and \n \n subsequent agreements necessary to implement the project for the Eastern \n \n Connector Project from Buena Vista Road to Chattsworth Road Project \n \n STP)00-8042-00(006) PI#350850.
