A Resolution Authorizing The City Manager to enter into a contract with Columbus Power Producers to \n \n develop beneficial uses for landfill gas at Pine Grove and Schatulga Road \n \n Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Landfills. ____________ whereas, The Columbus Consolidated Government desires to find a beneficial use of the \n \n landfill gas produced by Schatulga Road and Pine Grove Municipal Solid Waste \n \n Landfills and landfill gas is a greenhouse gas which is regulated under Georgia \n \n EPD jurisdiction and; \n \n WHEREAS the use of or destruction of green house landfill gas is required by \n \n the Environmental Protection Division of Georgia and green house gas is a \n \n by-product landfill operation and; \n \n WHEREAS a beneficial use of landfill gas to generate power will provide revenue \n \n for the CCG of generated by a landfill____________
