A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY TO APPROVE AND ACCEPT THE DONATION GIVEN BY ROTARY CLUBS OF COLUMBUS, \n \n GEORGIA FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF ROTARY PARK. whereas, The Rotary Clubs of Columbus received funding to enhance the amenities at \n \n Rotary Park which bears the organization?s name;
whereas, The project would include the following: Muscogee Rotary to upgrade signage; \n \n North Columbus Rotary to add five (5) BBQ grills; and Rotary Club of Columbus \n \n to install exercise equipment. Columbus Parks and Recreation Department \n \n supports the Rotary Clubs of Columbus desire to enhance the amenities and \n \n quality of life at Rotary Park. \n \n \n \n WHEREAS, The value of the equipment and installation that Rotary Club of \n \n Columbus, Georgia, will gift to the City will be approximately $10,500 and will \n \n be at no cost to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to accept \n \n the gift from The Rotary Club of Columbus, Georgia to enhance the amenities at \n \n Rotary Park.
