A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT \n \n WITH THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO CONDUCT A TRANSPORTATION STUDY \n \n OF THE SPIDER WEB (BUENA VISTA ROAD / ST. MARY'S ROAD / BRENNAN ROAD / ANDREWS \n \n ROAD) GRADE SEPARATION. whereas, a study will be conducted to determine what type of improvements will need to \n \n be made to alleviate the congestion along this section of Buena Vista Road due \n \n to trains traveling through this major arterial.
whereas, the Georgia Department of Transportation has authorized State L230 funding for \n \n the Spider Web Study in the amount of $66,400.00 for this study, which requires \n \n a local match of twenty (20) percent; and,
the local match of $16,600.00 has been identifed in the Capital Improvement \n \n Program; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contractual \n \n agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to secure the necessary \n \n funding for this study.
