A Resolution Authorizing A RESOLUTION COVERING A CITY RIGHT OF WAY AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF \n \n TRANSPORTATION. whereas, the Department of Transportation will assist the City of Columbus, Georgia, a \n \n consolidated City/County Government, in County Contract to re-pave the roads in \n \n the Linwood Cemetery, State Aid Project No. PRC10-S009-00(342), Muscogee \n \n County; and,
whereas, the Georgia Department of Transportation has agreed to pay an estimated amount \n \n of $24,000.00. The Historical Linwood Foundation agrees to pay the balance of \n \n the contracted bid; and,
WHEREAS, the project will extend wholly within the corporate limits of \n \n Columbus, Georgia, under the laws of the State of Georgia.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a City Right of Way \n \n Agreement and subsequent agreements necessary to implement the project with the \n \n Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) for a County Contract to re-pave the \n \n roads in the Linwood Cemetery State Aid No. PRC10-S009-00(342), Muscogee \n \n County.
