A Resolution Authorizing A VARIANCE FOR THE WOOLDRIDGE HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION TO CITY CODE 7.10 THAT \n \n REQUIRES THE INSTALLATION OF SIDEWALKS IN ALL RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS. whereas, James E. McVay representing the owner Leary & Brown, INC. is developing the \n \n Wooldridge Heights Subdivision; and,
whereas, City Code 7.10 of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) requires sidewalk \n \n installation in all residential developments with four noted exemptions; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed development of 9 lots of the subdivision no longer meet \n \n the UDO exemption requirement of an average 200 ft. width for a large lot \n \n subdivision in that the average lot width is less than 200 ft.; and, \n \n WHEREAS, the developer has requested a variance to the requirement for the \n \n installation of sidewalk in that the existing sections of Wellington Pointe \n \n Subdivision were not required to have sidewalks.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That a variance is hereby authorized to Leary & Brown, INC. for the Wellington \n \n Pointe Third Addition Subdivision to City Code 7.10 that requires the \n \n installation of sidewalks in all residential subdivisions.
