A Resolution Authorizing THE SHERIFF TO SUBMIT AND IF APPROVED, ACCEPT A GRANT OF $131,000.00 OR AS \n \n OTHERWISE AWARDED FROM THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE COORDINATING COUNCIL TO FUND THE \n \n MUSCOGEE COUNTY SHERIFF?S OFFICE FROM JANUARY 1, 2020 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2020 AND \n \n TO AMEND THE MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL FUND BY THE AWARD AMOUNT.___________ whereas, funds have been made available from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council \n \n to the Muscogee County Sheriff?s Office for a 6 month period beginning January \n \n 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020; and,______________
whereas, funds are being made available to provide support for the operation of the \n \n Muscogee County Accountability Courts for FY20; and,_________
WHEREAS, funds have been made available from the State through the CJCC to fund \n \n local law enforcement entities working with Accountability Courts in the State \n \n of Georgia and the CJCC is accepting grant requests from the same throughout \n \n the State of Georgia; and, \n \n \n \n WHEREAS, : There is no cash match for this award____________
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the Sheriff is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the \n \n Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to fund the Muscogee County Sheriff?s \n \n Office and if awarded accept $131,000.00 to provide funding from January 1, \n \n 2020 to June 30, 2020. ______________
