A Resolution Authorizing The City Manager to approve the Construction and Demolition (C&D) siting \n \n decision for the expansion of the the existing C&D landfill at Pine Grove \n \n Municipal Solid Waste Landfill whereas, the Columbus Consolidated Government, pursuant to O.C.G.A.12-8-26, has \n \n conducted a siting decision meeting with respect to the proposed C&D Landfill \n \n expansion at the Pine Grove Landfill located at 7900 Pine Grove Way, Columbus, \n \n GA 31907 \n \n WHEREAS, the proposed C&D Landfill Expansion at the Pine Grove Landfill is \n \n consistent with and in compliance with the Columbus Consolidated Government's \n \n zoning and land use ordinances; and \n \n WHEREAS, the proposed C&D Landfill Expansion at the Pine Grove Landfill is \n \n consistent with and in compliance with the Columbus Consolidated Government's \n \n Solid Waste Management Plan dated 2008-2018, and last update in 2011,and
whereas, public input was received on the project, in a Public Meeting held on December \n \n 18, 2015.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
the Columbus Consolidated Government hereby approves the siting decision \n \n pertaining to submission of an application to the Georgia EPD for the proposed \n \n C&D Landfill Expansion at the Pine Grove Landfill.
