A Resolution Authorizing JUVENILE COURT TO CARRYOVER APPROXIMATELY $40,000 IN OPERATION FUNDS FROM \n \n FISCAL YEAR 2016 TO FISCAL YEAR 2017 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SECOND JUVENILE \n \n COURT COURTROOM AND JUDICIAL CONFERENCE ROOM AND AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 \n \n OPERATING BUDGET FOR JUVENILE COURT BY THE AMOUNT OF CARRYOVER FUNDS. whereas, excess funds in the amount of approximately $40,000 are available for Muscogee \n \n County Juvenile Court from the fiscal year 2016 operational budget;
whereas, there has been a drastic increase in number of dependent case filings within \n \n the Juvenile Court; and
WHEREAS, the number of hearings from the increased dependent case filings and \n \n juvenile code reform demands the availability of a second courtroom,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to allow Juvenile Court to carryover \n \n approximately $40,000 in excess operational funds to construct a second court \n \n room and second judicial conference room and amend the fiscal year 2017 \n \n operating budget for Juvenile Court by the carryover funds available.
