A Resolution Authorizing THE ACCEPTANCE OF A QUITCLAIM DEED TO ALVAH H. CHAPMAN WAY AND THAT PORTION OF \n \n ALBION WAY AND THE DESIGNATION OF ALVAH H. CHAPMAN WAY AND THAT PORTION OF \n \n ALBION WAY LOCATED IN THE HOUSING AUTHORITY DEVELOPMENT AS PUBLIC STREETS ON \n \n BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA. whereas, a Quitclaim Deed was submitted to the City of Columbus by the Housing Authority \n \n of Columbus, Georgia, conveying their rights to Alvah H. Chapman Way and that \n \n portion of Albion Way located in the Housing Authority Development for public \n \n street purpose; and,
whereas, the streets were contained within the Housing Authority Development and have \n \n been utilized as a public street; and,
WHEREAS, Alvah H. Chapman Way and that portion of Albion Way located in the \n \n Housing Authority Development have been maintained as public streets; and, \n \n WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected the \n \n streets and recommends designation of Alvah H. Chapman Way and that portion of \n \n Albion Way located in the Housing Authority Development as a public street.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain Quitclaim deed dated September 16, 2014, conveying to \n \n Columbus, Georgia Alvah H. Chapman Way and that portion of Albion Way located \n \n in the Housing Authority Development, and the same is hereby designated as \n \n public Streets. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said \n \n Quitclaim Deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of \n \n Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy is hereto attached and by \n \n this reference made a part of this resolution.
