A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A APPLICATION TO THE CRTIMINAL JUSTICE COORDINATING \n \n COUNCIL FOR A GRANT TO FUND THE MUSCOGEE COUNTY ADULT FELONY DRUG COURT AND \n \n IF AWARDED, ACCEPT A GRANT, OF $6,936.00 TO PROVIDE FUNDING FROM JULY 1, 2012 \n \n THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2012 WITH NO LOCAL MATCH REQUIREMENT AND TO AMEND THE \n \n MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL FUND BY THE $6,936.00.____________ whereas, funds have been made available from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council \n \n to the Adult Felony Drug Court for a 90 day period beginning on June 30, 2012 \n \n through September 30, 2012 ; and,_______________
whereas, _, the funds are being made available to provide support to the Adult Felony \n \n Drug Court to as a temporary measure to enable the CJCC to develop a grant \n \n application and a process by which to apply for finds on a yearly schedule.; \n \n and__________
WHEREAS, _approximately $12,000,000 have been made available from the State to \n \n the CJCC to fund Accountability Courts in the State of Georgia and the CJCC is \n \n in the process of developing the procedures to apply for funds. This award \n \n provides funds to operate the court during the development of the application \n \n process; and,___________ \n \n WHEREAS, , the Criminal Justice Coordinting Council does not require a local \n \n match; and, \n \n
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit an application for a grant \n \n to the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to fund the Muscogee County Adult \n \n Felony Drug Court and if awarded accept a grant of $6,936.00 to provide funding \n \n from July 1, 2012 to September 30, 2012 with no local match requirement and to \n \n amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by $6,936.00 the amount of the grant \n \n awarded.______________
