A Resolution Authorizing Columbus Parks and Recreation to accept donations in the form of gift \n \n certificates, check, supplies and cash from sponsors and individuals for the \n \n purpose of purchasing supplies for the Free Little Library program. whereas, the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department creates and paints Free Little \n \n Library boxes to provide free books for the community in various locations \n \n where communities already congregate. In addition to providing books for the \n \n community to share, the Free Little Libraries create an opportunity at \n \n literacy.
whereas, Columbus Parks and Recreation provides a site, staff, painting the Free Little \n \n Library boxes, and administration of the program. The donations of money and \n \n supplies are provided by sponsors and individuals.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Columbus Parks and Recreation is authorized to accept donations in the form of \n \n check, and cash from sponsors and individuals for the purpose of purchasing \n \n supplies for the Free Little Library program. Also, Columbus Parks and \n \n Recreation is allowed to accept supplies.
