A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH CONCORDIA \n \n PROPERTIES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROAD IMPROVEMENTS TO MOON ROAD. whereas, Concordia Properties proposes to develop property at the northwest intersection \n \n of Moon Road and Whittlesey Boulevard, which require certain road improvements \n \n as part of their rezoning request for this property; and,
whereas, the City has proposed the widening of Moon Road to four lanes north of \n \n Whittlesey Boulevard to Knology Way; and,
WHERAS, it advantagous for both the City and Concordia Properties to make the \n \n necessary improvements to Moon Road at the same time, utilizing Concordia \n \n Properties contractor for such road construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Memorandum of \n \n Understanding with Concordia Properties for the purposes of widening Moon Road \n \n between Whittlesey Boulevard and Knology Way. The amount for the construction \n \n of road improvements shall not exceed $1,300,000.
