A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE GEORGIA \n \n DEPARTENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE PURPOSES OF RECEIVING A ROADSIDE \n \n ENHANCEMENT AND BEAUTIFICATION COUNCIL GRANT whereas, the City seeks to improve and beautify right of way sections along the 2nd \n \n Avenue corridor; and,
whereas, the Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded the City with a Roadside \n \n Enhancement and Beautification grant for the purposes of landscaping the \n \n southwest corner of 2nd Avenue and 18th Street

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Memorandum of \n \n Agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation for the purposes of \n \n receiving a landscaping grant through their Roadside Enhancement and \n \n Beautification Council program in the amount of $32,657 to provide landscaping \n \n at the southwest corner of 2nd Avenue and 18th Street. No match shall be \n \n required of the city for the acceptance of these grant funds.
