A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR $6,936.00 WITH LAUREN MESCON TO \n \n PROVIDE CONSULTING SERVICE TO THE MUSCOGEE COUNTY ADULT FELONY DRUG COURT \n \n UTILIZING $6,936.00 FUNDED FROM A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED AND ACCEPTED GRANT FROM \n \n THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE COORDINATING COUNCIL. \n \n ____________ whereas, funds have been made available from the Judicial Council of Georgia Standing \n \n Committee on Accountability Courts for the purpose of funding the Adult Felony \n \n Drug Court; and,______________
whereas, the Adult Felony Drug Court has determined that it would be beneficial for the \n \n court to utilize these funds for consulting services; and___________
WHEREAS, , the Adult Felony Drug Court will improve operating procedures, \n \n organizations structure, utilization of assets and case flow; and, \n \n WHEREAS,, the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council has approved our request to \n \n utilize the funds for this purpose; and, ____________
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Lauren \n \n Mescon to provide consulting services to the Muscogee County Adult Felony Drug \n \n Court utilizing $6,936 funded from a previously approved and accepted grant \n \n from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.______________
