A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW HORIZONS COMMUNITY \n \n SERVICE BOARD TO PROVIDE SCREENING AND TREATMENT SERVICES TO ACCOUNTABILITY \n \n COURT PARTICIPANTS.____________ whereas, funds have been made available from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council \n \n to the Accountability Courts in the FY14 Grants for the screening and \n \n treatment of Accountability Court participants; and,_______________
whereas, The New Horizons Community Service Board has the personnel, facilities and \n \n ability to provide screening and treatment services to the Accountability \n \n Courts ; and,__________
WHEREAS, the Accountability Court Administration has reviewed the ability of \n \n various agencies to provide screening and treatment services and concluded that \n \n the New Horizons Community Service Board could best meet the needs of the \n \n Accountability Courts; and, \n \n WHEREAS, the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council requires a 0% In-kind local \n \n match, \n \n WHEREAS the Columbus Consolidated Government will not be required to continue \n \n this agreement when the grant funds have been expended.,___________
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the \n \n New Horizons Community Service Board to provide screening and treatment \n \n services for Accountability Courts in Muscogee County______________
