A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH THE \n \n GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF DRIVER SERVICES FOR PAVING AND STRIPING THE PARKING LOTS \n \n AND TEST COURSES AT THE FACILITIES LOCATED ON US 80. whereas, in order to expedite spending of available funds for the paving and striping of \n \n the parking lot and test courses prior to the end of the fiscal year, June 30, \n \n 2016, the Georgia Department Driver Services has requested to use the City of \n \n Columbus contracts for paving and striping,
whereas, the MOU provides clarification of the responsibilities of both parties, most \n \n notably to include but not limited to, all expenses for the project are the \n \n responsibility of the Georgia Department of Driver Services.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

The City Manager is authorized to enter into a Memorandum of \n \n Understanding (MOU) with the Georgia Department of Driver Services for Paving \n \n and Striping the Parking Lots and Test Courses at the Facilities located on US \n \n 80 in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00.
