A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE \n \n DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF COLUMBUS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CHATTSWORTH COURT. whereas, the Development Authority of Columbus has proposed the sale of property in the \n \n Corporate Ridge Industrial Park for the development of a new business; and,
whereas, the development of such property will require the construction of a new roadway \n \n to be known as Chattsworth Court; and,
WHEREAS, the Columbus Consolidated Government has been requested to participate \n \n in the funding of this road for economic development purposes and has received \n \n a county contract grant from the Georgia Department of Transportation in an \n \n amount not to exceed $200,000 \n \n
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Memorandum \n \n of Understanding with the Development Authority of Columbus for the purpose of \n \n constructing a new road to be named Chattsworth Court and for allocating an \n \n amount not to exceed $200,000 in county contract grant funds from the Georgia \n \n Department of Transportation.
