A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AND IF APPROVED, ACCEPT A GRANT OF $2,000,000.00 \n \n FROM THE SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTRATION TO FUND THE \n \n ADULT DRUG COURT EXPANSION PROJECT FROM MAY 31, 2019 THROUGH MAY 30, 2024 AND \n \n TO AMEND THE MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL FUND BY THE AWARD AMOUNT.__________ whereas, funds have been made available from SAMHSA to the Columbus Consolidated \n \n Government for a 60 month period beginning May 31, 2019 through May 30, 2024; \n \n and,_______________
whereas, funds are being made available to provide support for the operation of the \n \n Adult Drug Court expansion project for FY19 ? FY24; and,___________
WHEREAS, funds have been made available from the Substance Abuse and Mental \n \n Health Services Administration to expand substance abuse treatment services in \n \n Adult Drug Treatment Courts \n \n WHEREAS The City is not required to make any cash or in kind match____________
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the \n \n Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to fund the Adult \n \n Drug Court Expansion Project and if awarded accept $2,000,000.00 to provide \n \n funding from May 31, 2019 to May 30, 2024. authorize a sole source contract to \n \n New Horizons Behavioral Health and Dr. Andrew Cox and to amend the \n \n Multi-Governmental Fund by the amount of the grant award. ______________
