A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT WITH THE GEORGIA \n \n DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE 14TH STREET PLAZA whereas, the city seeks to redevelop a section of 14th Street, between the Frank Martin \n \n Memorial Bridge and Broadway, for purposes of developing a pedestrian plaza; \n \n and,
whereas, funds are available from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) for \n \n this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a construction \n \n agreement with GDOT for the purposes of developing the 14th Street Plaza. The \n \n total contract amount shall be $1,333,418.56, with GDOT contributing \n \n $1,066,734.85 or 80 percent of the project costs, while the City will be \n \n responsible for $266,683.71 or 20 percent of the project costs.
