A Resolution Authorizing A VARIANCE TO AT&T ALLOWING THE INSTALLATION OF CONCEALED SUPPORT STRUCTURES \n \n USED TO HOUSE SMALL CELL ANTENNAS, NOT TO EXCEED 50 FEET, AT 6900 MOBLEY ROAD, \n \n 1290 DOUBLE CHURCHES ROAD, 827 DOUBLE CHURCHES ROAD, OPP 1700 AMBER DRIVE AND \n \n OPP 4186 PRIMROSE RD. whereas, Section 3.2.72.O(D)2 of the UDO limits the height of the concealed support \n \n structure (pole) to 40 feet for small cell antennas,
whereas, a new Bill was passed in the 2019 legislative session allowing the height to \n \n be 50 feet in commercial/industrial areas and not to exceed 10 feet greater in \n \n height than the tallest existing poles for residential areas and historic \n \n districts,
WHEREAS, AT&T has requested a variance to allow construction of 50 feet \n \n concealed support structures in order to increase coverage in areas with weak \n \n signals. \n \n WHEREAS, Locations requested are 6900 Mobley Road, l290 Double Churches \n \n Road, 827 Double Churches Road, OIPP 1700 Amber Drive and OPP 4186 Primrose \n \n Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
A variance is hereby granted to AT&T to construct concealed support \n \n structures, not to exceed 49 feet, at 6900 Mobley Road, 1290 Double Churches \n \n Road, 827 Double Churches Road, OPP 1700 Amber Drive and OPP 4186 Primrose \n \n Road.
