A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY TO ACCEPT THE DONATION OF VARIOUS EXERCISE EQUIMENT TO USE AT \n \n RECREATION AND SENIOR CENTERS FROM CURVES. whereas, Mrs. Susan Durham would like to donate her Curves exercise equipment to be \n \n placed at various Recreation and Senior Centers., \n \n
whereas, Curves circuit training is for the novice and provides strength-training rather \n \n than cardiovascular training, \n \n
WHEREAS, Curves training can provide aerobics capabilities, \n \n \n \n WHEREAS, Citizens are likely to experience less muscle soreness than when using \n \n a machine with weighted plates, \n \n \n \n WHEREAS, Circuit workout improves both strength and endurance and \n \n jump-starts a participants metabolism, \n \n \n \n WHEREAS, Circuit workout is more of a total body exercise because it \n \n incorporates resistance training for the upper body and core, as well as the \n \n legs. \n \n
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to accept \n \n the various exercise equipment, donated Curves, to place in the various \n \n Recreation and Seniors Center weight room for all participants to use. \n \n
