A Resolution Authorizing AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONDITION REGARDING THE ACCESS EASEMENT AS LISTED IN \n \n RESOLUTION 134-06 WHICH WAIVED THE MINIMUM STREET FRONTAGE REQUIREMENT IN ORDER \n \n TO CONSTRUCT A RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION AT 7500 LAYFIELD ROAD whereas, the condition pertaining to the access easement is listed in Resolution 134-06; \n \n and,
whereas, Brittland Properties requests an amendment to the condition to allow the width \n \n of the access easement to be reduced to eighteen (18) feet in order to access a \n \n residential subdivision at 7500 Layfield Road (Upatoi Glen); and, \n \n
WHEREAS, Brittland Properties feels that the street configuration will \n \n best foster a rural character and sense of neighborhood for the development; \n \n and, \n \n \n \n WHEREAS, narrowing the street width will assist in saving trees and \n \n slowing traffic speeds throughout the development; and, \n \n \n \n WHEREAS, the Planning Department, the Engineering Department, and the \n \n Fire / EMS Department have reviewed the request and concur that the condition \n \n amendment be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That Brittland Properties is approved for a condition amendment regarding the \n \n access easement condition in Resolution 134-06 and a variance is granted to \n \n reduce the required pavement width from twenty-four (24) feet to eighteen (18) \n \n feet.
