A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO SALE THE ACQUIRED RIGHT OF WAY FOR LOT 14 NORTH LAKE CENTRE \n \n AND RETAIN A STORM SEWER AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT ACROSS SAID PROPERTY AS SHOWN ON \n \n RIGHT OF WAY SURVEY ENTITLED "LOT 14 NORTH LAKE CENTRE & ADJACENT PROPERTY". \n \n THE PROPOSED PURCHASER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO REIMBURSE THE CITY $8235 FOR THE \n \n VALUE OF THE EASEMENT AREA AND PAY ALL ADDITIONAL CLOSING COST. whereas, the above referenced parcel of right of way was purchased in 2013 for drainage \n \n and slope purposes from the George C. Woodruff Co. as part of the Double \n \n Churches Road/Veterans Parkway Intersection Improvement Project; and,
whereas, there is a development proposed on Lot 14 North Lake Centre that needs this \n \n portion of the right of way in order to meet the needs of the project and \n \n requirements of the UDO; and,
WHEREAS, the City will retain a storm sewer and drainage easement for the \n \n property and will be reimbursed 50% of the land value of the purchase price.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to deed that portion of the \n \n property shown as Lot 14 North Lake Centre upon payment of $8235 and closing \n \n cost. A storm sewer and drainage easement is hereby reserved for public \n \n purposes.
