A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN EASEMENT WITH W.C. BRADLEY CO. FOR ACCESS OF \n \n THE PROPERTY FORMERLY KNOWN AS "FRONT AVENUE" BETWEEN 13TH STREET AND 14TH \n \n STREET FOR INGRESS, EGRESS AND REGRESS FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITH RESPECT TO \n \n VEHICULAR AND PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC. whereas, in 1996 the City conveyed to Fieldcrest Mill the right of way to Front Avenue \n \n from 13th Street to 14th Street in exchange for right-of -way and construction \n \n easements to construct the 13th Street Bridge,
whereas, in 2003 the W.C. Bradley CO. purchased the Fieldcrest Mill property including \n \n the right-of-way,
WHEREAS, the City and W.C. Bradley CO. agree that it is advantageous to open \n \n the street for public use to improve public safety and improved traffic flow,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an easement with \n \n W.C. Bradley for access of the property formerly known as "Front Avenue" \n \n between 13th Street and 14th Street for ingress, egress, and regress for the \n \n general public with respect to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
