A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANGER TO DECLARE VACANT PROPERTY ON REESE ROAD A/K/A 084 008 042, AS \n \n SURPLUS AND TO ADVERTISE, AND SELL 0.4 ACRES +/- IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION \n \n 7-501 OF THE CITY CODE, IN COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA. whereas, the above mentioned property is owned exclusively by the Columbus Consolidated \n \n Government; and,
whereas, the Columbus Consolidated Government has no current or future use or plans for \n \n said property; and,
WHEREAS, the property is appropriately suited for residential development and \n \n use; and, \n \n \n \n WHEREAS, surplus real property owned by the Columbus consolidated government \n \n must be conveyed in accordance with Section 7-501 of the city Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to declare vacant property on Reese \n \n Road a/k/a 084 008 042, as surplus and authorize the sale of 29 +/-acres in \n \n Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and execute all contracts agreements and \n \n understandings related to the conveyance of City property.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the _________ day of _____________ and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of _____________ members of said Council.
