A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE FY 16 LOCAL MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENT GRANT \n \n (LMIG) WITH THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (GDOT) FOR RIVER \n \n ROAD/BRADLEY PARK DRIVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. whereas, the City is proposing Widening of Forrest Road Phase I from Woodruff Farm \n \n Road/Floyd Road to Schatulga Drive and staff identified this project as the \n \n one to be submitted to GDOT for FY16 LMIG funding; and,
whereas, it is necessary to execute the attached LMIG agreement (becoming part of this \n \n Resolution) to the GDOT; and,
WHEREAS, the GDOT is paying approximately $1.5 million toward this project \n \n estimated at $5.2 million, the balance to be paid by the City; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the FY 16 Local \n \n Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) with the Georgia Department of \n \n Transportation (GDOT) for Forrest Road Widening Phase I.
