A Resolution Authorizing A VARIANCE TO SECTION 18-53 OF THE COLUMBUS UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE FOR \n \n MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT. whereas, Shaw High School has an address of 7601 Schomburg Road; and,
whereas, the New Elementary School # 6, now under construction has also been issued 7601 \n \n Schomburg Road, being it is on the same parcel as Shaw High School; and,
WHEREAS, Muscogee County School District has requested the Department of \n \n Engineering initiate a variance to the Unified Development Ordinance so Shaw \n \n High School will be authorized to use a private street address; and, \n \n WHEREAS, Muscogee County School District will provide all funding for the \n \n required street name signs and traffic control signage. Shaw High School has \n \n all the necessary public road frontage and access to all public services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manger is hereby authorized to approve a variance to \n \n Section 18-53 of the Unified Development Ordinance to allow the use of private \n \n street addressing for Shaw High School.
