A Resolution Authorizing TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION, AND IF AWARDED, ACCEPT A GRANT OF A DOLLAR AMOUNT TO \n \n BE DETERMINED FROM THE JUDICIAL COUNCIL OF GEORGIA STANDING COMMITTEE ON \n \n ACCOUNTABILITY COURTS WITH NO LOCAL MATCH REQUIREMENT AND TO AMEND THE \n \n MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL FUND BY THE AMOUNT AWARDED. whereas, funds have been made available from the Judicial Council of Georgia Standing \n \n Committee on Accountability Courts for the purpose of funding for the Juvenile \n \n Drug Court; and,
whereas, the Juvenile Drug Court operates on a team concept, but also, as a community \n \n collaborative effort to address the needs of youth abusing drugs; and,
WHEREAS, the Judicial Council of Georgia Standing Committee on Accountability \n \n Courts does not require a match; and, \n \n WHEREAS, the dollar amount of the grant will not be determined until the grants \n \n are awarded by the funding agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit an application and if \n \n approved, accept funds from the Judicial Council of Georgia Standing Committee \n \n on Accountability Courts for operational expenses, or otherwise awarded, and to \n \n amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by the amount of the grant awarded.
