A Resolution Authorizing A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR, AND IF AWARDED, \n \n ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 OR AS OTHERWISE AWARDED, FROM THE \n \n WACHOVIA FOUNDATION WITH NO LOCAL MATCH REQUIREMENT, AND TO AMEND THE \n \n MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL FUND (216) BY THE APPLICABLE AMOUNT. whereas, the Columbus Consolidated Government is committed to preventing delinquency and \n \n mentoring students at an early age; and,
whereas, the Wachovia Foundation has offered a small grant to prevent delinquency and \n \n mentor Middle School Students in the City of Columbus; and,
WHEREAS, the Muscogee County Marshal?s Office requests permission to make \n \n application to receive up to $1,000 for supplies, equipment and other items to \n \n operate the Junior Marshal Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to submit an \n \n application and if approved, accept a $1,000 grant from the Wachovia Foundation \n \n and amend the Multi-Governmental Fund (216) by a like amount.
