A Resolution Authorizing AUTHORIZING Columbus Parks and Recreation to accept donations in the form of \n \n gift certificates, check, and cash from sponsors and individuals for the Learn \n \n to Swim Program that is a current program held at the Columbus Aquatic Center. whereas, The Columbus Aquatic Center Learn to Swim mission is ?To create lifelong \n \n participants in aquatic activities for their health, safety, enjoyment and \n \n career opportunities.? Columbus Parks and Recreation will partner with the \n \n Muscogee County School District to help children in this program develop their \n \n swimming and water safety skills.
whereas, , The Parks and Recreation Department and the Muscogee County School District \n \n recognize the need for Learn to Swim programs. These donations and \n \n sponsorships will be used to help teach kindergarten students the necessary \n \n water safety and swimming skills.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Columbus Parks and Recreation is authorized to accept donations for the \n \n duration of the program in the form of gift certificates, check, and cash from \n \n sponsors and individuals for the Learn to Swim Program currently held at the \n \n Columbus Aquatic Center.
