A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AND IF APPROVED, ACCEPT A GRANT OF $368,535 FROM \n \n THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE COORDINATING COUNCIL TO FUND THE MUSCOGEE COUNTY ADULT \n \n FELONY DRUG COURT FROM JULY 1, 2013 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2014 WITH A 10% IN KIND \n \n LOCAL MATCH REQUIREMENT AND TO AMEND THE MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL FUND BY THE AWARD \n \n AMOUNT.____________ whereas, funds have been made available from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council \n \n to the Adult Felony Drug Court for a 12 month period beginning July 1, 2013 \n \n through June 30, 2014; and,_______________
whereas, funds are being made available to provide support for the operation of the \n \n Muscogee County Adult Felony Drug Court for FY14; and,___________
_WHEREAS, funds have been made available from the State through the CJCC to \n \n fund Accountability Courts in the State of Georgia and the CJCC is accepting \n \n grant requests from Accountability Courts throughout the State of Georgia; and, \n \n WHEREAS, , the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council requires A 10% In-kind \n \n local match..___________
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
_That the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to \n \n the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to fund the Muscogee County Adult \n \n Felony Drug Court and if awarded accept $368,535 to provide funding from July \n \n 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014 with a 10% In-kind local match requirement and to \n \n amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by the amount awarded._____________
