A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY TO ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,571.00 FROM THE GEORGIA \n \n HISTORICAL RECORDS ADVISORY BOARD. THE GRANT REQUIRES A LOCAL IN-KIND SERVICES \n \n MATCH OF THE GRANT AWARD AND AMEND THE MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL FUND BY $2,571.00. whereas, the Columbus Consolidated Government involves official actions, for which \n \n records are created and maintained; and,
whereas, the Columbus Consolidated Government is responsible for the safekeeping of the \n \n records of these actions for legal and historical evidence; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager's Office requests permission to accept the Historical \n \n Records Project Grant to ensure that records are properly stored and readily \n \n available for retrieval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to accept \n \n funds from the Georgia Historical Records Advisory Board for a Grant for \n \n $2,571.00 plus 25% in-kind service match to hire a consultant to evaluate the \n \n records center's structure and place records storage procedures online and to \n \n amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by the amount of the grant awarded.
