A Resolution Authorizing THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CERTIFICATE OF OWNERSHIP AND AGREEMENT WITH THE GEORGIA \n \n DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (DOT) FOR THE 2007/2008 L.A.R.P. PROGRAM FOR A \n \n TOTAL OF 115 CANDIDATE STREETS TO BE CONSIDERED BY THE DOT. whereas, the Georgia Department of Transportation has offered an annual L.A.R.P. \n \n contract for patching and resurfacing on all or a portion of the Candidate List \n \n sent to the DOT, for consideration (attached); and,
whereas, the candidate streets that are not chosen by the DOT will be added to the \n \n awarded contract as a supplement and done during the L.A.R.P. contract (subject \n \n to availability of additional funding); and,
WHEREAS, this project will be funded from the Paving Fund Supported Capital \n \n Improvement Projects and CBA lease Revenue Bonds, Series 2003A for \n \n approximately $1.5m.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Certificate of Ownership, \n \n Agreement and subsequent agreements necessary to implement this project with \n \n the Georgia Department of Transportation for the 2007/2008 L.A.R.P. Program for \n \n a total of 115 Candidate streets to be considered by the DOT.
