A Resolution Authorizing THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDING UNDER THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF \n \n TRANSPORTATION'S (GDOT) ROADSIDE ENHANCEMENT AND BEAUTIFICATION COUNCIL (REBC) \n \n GRANT PROGRAM whereas, the Columbus Consolidated Government desires to beautify and improve a right of \n \n way area by landscaping a section of the intersection at 2nd Avenue and 18th \n \n Street; and,
whereas, the Columbus Consolidation Government desires to authorize the Planning \n \n Department to apply for an REBC Grant from GDOT, and if awarded, to enter into \n \n a Mowing and Maintenance Agreement between the Ctiy and GDOT; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the Planning Department is hereby authorized to apply for an REBC Grant in \n \n the amount of $32,656.50 for the purpose of landscaping the northwest corner of \n \n the 2nd Avenue and 18th Street intersection. Awarding of the grant shall \n \n require entering into a Mowing and Maintenance Agreement with GDOT.
