A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO DISPOSE OF A SEGMENT OF 36TH STREET BEGINNING AT THE EAST \n \n RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF VETERANS PARKWAY AND RUNNING EAST TO THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY \n \n LINE OF HAMILTON ROAD HAVING A 50 FOOT RIGHT-OF-WAY TO THE ADJACENT PROPERTY \n \n OWNER FOR THE FAIR MARKET VALUE PER APPRAISED IS $36,500.00. whereas, properties have been assembled on 36th Street between Hamilton Road and \n \n Veterans Parkway to expand the Owner(s) project, and;
whereas, this street segment of 36th Street was the fair market value per appraised is \n \n $36,500.00 for which the adjacent property owner has agreed to purchase, and;
WHEREAS, 36th Street is closed at Veterans Parkway having no other uses to the \n \n City as a public street.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to declare a segment of 36th Street \n \n beginning at the East right-of-way line of Veterans Parkway and running East to \n \n the West right-of-way line of Hamilton Road having a 50 foot right-of-way to \n \n the adjacent property owner. The fair market value appraised is $36,500.00.
