A Resolution Authorizing GEORGIA POWER TO REPLACE EXISTING ROADWAY LIGHTING FIXTURES WITH LED ROADWAY \n \n LIGHTING FIXTURES THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF COLUMBUS, whereas, roadway lighting is installed at the request of the City or Developer on new \n \n and existing streets,
whereas, most of the existing roadway fixtures are operated and maintained by Georgia \n \n Power with the City of Columbus responsible for payment of energy cost,
WHEREAS Georgia Power has approached the City with a proposal to replace \n \n existing roadway lighting fixtures throughout the City with new LED lighting \n \n fixtures at no cost to the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the authorization \n \n agreement with Georgia Power for the replacement of existing roadway lighting \n \n fixtures throughout the community with LED roadway lighting fixtures at no cost \n \n to the City.
