A Resolution Authorizing the use of fund balance to fund the replacement of the current Air Conditioning \n \n system being used in the County Jail. __________ whereas, the current air conditioning system was installed in 2002 and due to it's age \n \n parts are not readily available and are becoming scarce._______________
whereas, it is the recommendation of Public Works, based on the scarcity of replacement \n \n parts, the use of R22 coolant that is being phased out and the rising costs of \n \n re-building each compressor, that replacement is being recommended. _________

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

_The City Manager is hereby authorized to use CCG Fund Balance to cover the \n \n cost of replacing the Air Conditioning System at the County Jail which includes \n \n the authorization to use our current mechanical contractor to design, order \n \n materials and install this new system at a cost of $1,300,000.00. ____________
