A Resolution Authorizing EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO WXTX/SOUTHEASTERN MEDIA HOLDINGS, INC., FOR 14 YEARS \n \n OF ASSISTANCE AND COOPERATION THROUGH THE LEASE OF SPACE AT THE WXTX-TV TOWER \n \n SITE TO OPERATE THE CITY'S 800 MEGAHERTZ RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. whereas, the use of the WXTX-TV tower site for antennae and radio equipment building \n \n space was a critical component of the City's 800 Megahertz Radio Communication \n \n System; and,
whereas, Southeastern Media Holdings engineers and employees demonstrated commendable \n \n cooperation and assistance to the City during the lease period; and,
WHEREAS, this private/public partnership demonstrates the benefits to our \n \n community when private companies and the City government work together to \n \n establish critical radio communications to governmental agencies that provide \n \n both public safety and general governmental services to the community as a \n \n hold; and, \n \n WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council offer their appreciation for the many years of \n \n cooperation.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
We hereby commend and express our deep appreciation to \n \n WXTX/Southeastern Media Holdings, Inc,. for 14 years of assistance and \n \n cooperation through the lease of space at the WXTX-TV Tower site to operate the \n \n City?s 800 Megahertz Radio Communication System. .
