A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COLUMBUS \n \n WATER WORKS FOR ENGINEERING AND DESIGN FOR WATER AND SEWER RELOCATION \n \n ASSOCIATED THE TRANSPORTATION INVESTMENT ACT PROJECT KNOWN AS THE "SPIDERWEB". whereas, the City is constructing road improvements to the area known as the "Spiderweb" \n \n to construct a bridge over the Norfolk Southern railroad line; and
whereas, as part of this project it is necessary to make improvements to the Bull Creek \n \n bridge in this immediate vicinity, which will require the relocation of water \n \n and sewer lines that go underneath this structure; and,
WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Agreement is required to authorize the Columbus Water \n \n Works to begin the engineering and design for water and sewer relocation \n \n associated with the improvements to the Bull Creek bridge;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement \n \n with the Columbus Water Works to perform the necessary engineering and design \n \n for water and sewer relocation associated with improvements needed for the Bull \n \n Creek bridge, at a cost not to exceed $181,000.
