A Resolution Authorizing THE ADOPTION OF THE EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN (EAP) FOR BULL CREEK WATERSHED \n \n STRUCTURES NO. 1, 3, 4, 12, 14, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27 AND 28 LOCATED IN \n \n COLUMBUS-MUSCOGEE COUNTY AND AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING TO FORWARD \n \n A COPY TO THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION \n \n DIVISION (EPD). whereas, The Georgia Safe Dams Act, O.C.G.A. Section 12-5-375, Rules For Dam Safety \n \n requires Emergency Action Plans for Category I Dams;
whereas, Emergency Action Plans in the form on file in the Engineering Department; have \n \n been developed for the Category 1 Bull Creek Flood Control Watershed Dams; and
WHEREAS, Council must adopt and formally submit such plans to EPD for review \n \n and approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
The Emergency Action Plans developed for the Bull Creek Watershed Structure \n \n Category 1 Dams are formally adopted and will be forwarded to the Georgia \n \n Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division for review \n \n and approval.
