A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF \n \n A PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE ACROSS VICTORY DRIVE TO SERVICE THE PROPOSED SOUTH COLUMBUS \n \n MULTI-USE TRAIL whereas, the City is developing the South Columbus Multi-Use Trail under the \n \n Transportation Investment Act of 2012; and
whereas, this trail will crossover Victory Drive and require a pedestrian bridge to \n \n ensure the safe passage over a busy, major highway; and,
WHEREAS, the engineering firm of Heath Linebeck is preparing the design work \n \n for the multi-purpose trail and requires a supplemental agreement to design the \n \n proposed pedestrian bridge;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a supplemental \n \n agreement with Heath Lineback Engineers to design a pedestrian bridge across \n \n Victory Drive to service the proposed South Columbus Multi-Use Trail. The cost \n \n of this design work is $128,784 and shall be used towards the match for the \n \n High Priority Project grant.
