A Resolution Authorizing PAYMENT FOR UTILITY RELOCATION, RIGHT OF WAY/EASEMENT ACQUISITION AND ATTORNEY \n \n FEES FOR THE VETERANS PARKWAY/COOPER CREEK ROAD/NORTHSIDE SCHOOL INTERSECTION \n \n IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, MUSCOGEE COUNTY. whereas, the need has been determined of the necessity to build and improve the \n \n intersection of Veterans Parkway/Cooper Creek Road to elevate the congestion \n \n that is expected when the new school year opens in August, 2006, and;
whereas, the project is in progress and arrangements for additional payment is \n \n requested, and;
WHEREAS, Funding for the $16,771.12 for Utility Relocation, $123,614.00 for \n \n Right of Way/Easement Acquisition and $5,000.00 for attorney fees, for a total \n \n estimated cost of $145,385.12 is available in the Veterans Parkway SPLOST \n \n project #50319.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to make payment for Utility \n \n Relocations, Right of Way/Easement Acquisitions and Attorney Fees for the \n \n Veterans Parkway/Cooper Creek Road/Northside School Intersection Improvement \n \n Project, Muscogee County. Funding for the $16,771.12 for Utility Relocation, \n \n $123,614.00 for Right of Way/Easement Acquisition and $5,000.00 for attorney \n \n fees, for a total estimated cost of $145,385.12 is available in the Veterans \n \n Parkway SPLOST project #50319.
